Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Fermentio, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Description of Service

Fermentio is a fermentation companion app that provides tools for calculating brine ratios, tracking fermentation batches, and exploring recipes. The app is provided as a general-purpose tool and reference guide.

Health and Safety Disclaimer

Fermentio is not a substitute for food safety expertise. While the app provides general guidance on fermentation techniques and safety:

  • Always use your own judgment when consuming fermented foods.
  • If a fermentation shows signs of contamination (unusual colors, foul odors, mold), discard it.
  • Consult a food safety professional if you have concerns about a specific fermentation.
  • The app's suggestions, timelines, and calculations are approximations and may vary based on your environment, ingredients, and conditions.

We are not responsible for any illness, injury, or damage resulting from fermentation activities undertaken using information from this app.

In-App Purchases

Fermentio offers a one-time premium upgrade ("Fermentio Premium") through Apple's App Store.

  • Payment is processed by Apple. We do not handle any payment information.
  • The purchase is non-consumable (lifetime access, one-time payment).
  • Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy.
  • You can restore your purchase on any device signed in with the same Apple ID.

Intellectual Property

All content in the app — including text, recipes, design, icons, and code — is the property of Fermentio or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Fermentation techniques, salt percentages, and general knowledge described in the app are part of the public domain and are freely usable.

User Content

Any data you create in the app (batches, logs, notes, photos) belongs to you. This data is stored locally on your device and is not accessible to us.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fermentio and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to discontinue the app or any feature at any time.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the applicable national laws of the developer's country of residence.
